The Dragon Boat Festival, celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, is a traditional Chinese festival with over 2,000 years of history. Its origins are often linked to the patriotic poet Qu Yuan, who drowned himself in the Miluo River. In response, people raced in boats to save him and threw rice dumplings into the water to prevent fish from eating his body. This led to the customs of dragon boat racing and eating zongzi. Other traditions include hanging calamus and wormwood to ward off evil spirits. The festival not only commemorates Qu Yuan but also serves as a time for family reunions and the promotion of Chinese cultural heritage.
On this special day, Refinecolor held a team cooking competition. Each team showcased their culinary skills by preparing a variety of delicious Chinese dishes, including Xinjiang big plate chicken, salt and pepper shrimp, basil bullfrog, lemon chicken feet, crayfish, scrambled eggs with tomatoes, soft - shelled turtle, and more. Through these activities, we not only deepened the bonds between different departments but also emphasized the importance of cooperation. We look forward to working together to contribute to the sustainable development of Refinecolor.
